The most Iconic Fire Station in all of Texas
Since breaking ground back in November of 2017, Westlake’s new Fire-EMS Station on the corner of Davis Boulevard and Dove Road has been a topic of conversation in 76262 and neighboring communities since the first shovel hit the dirt.
This iconic facility is like no other in the entire state. In fact, firefighters from across the region have already visited the station, marveling at its stature. The one word that continues to pop up is, “iconic.” Westlake’s main firehouse reflects the high-quality architectural standards the Town has set in place for its commercial and residential structures. This 18,000 square foot facility is indeed unique – from its architectural design, to the layout of the buildings across the corner and the use of the land’s topography. Now, after months of waiting, the doors are finally open. Firefighters have officially moved in are ready to welcome the public. Local dignitaries, residents, Town staff, and area fire departments were in attendance. The ceremony began at 9am with a welcome message from Mayor Laura Wheat and others. Chief Richar
