Roanoke Senior Center
The Roanoke Senior Center at 312 S Walnut Street offers the 55-plus population a great place to gather with friends and neighbors.
Visitors to the Senior Center engage in various programs and activities including creativity, health and fitness, games, monthly trips within the DFW area, and much more.
Memberships are not required to participate, as most activities are free. However, some programs are subject to registration and a fee.

Arts and Crafts
The creative programs offered at Roanoke Senior Center are an excellent opportunity to meet new friends while creating. Instructor-led classes include Glow in the Dark Ghost Family, Stylish Glass Candy Dish, Needle Felting, and more. Check the activity guide for dates and times.
Craft and Creation Bunch is perfect for those who want to catch up on their projects while visiting with friends. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, scrapbooking, jewelry-making, painting, or drawing project on Thursdays from 1-3 PM.
Health and Fitness
The Roanoke Senior Center also offers health-focused programs such as blood pressure checks, The Shoe Guy, and a Flu and Pneumonia shot clinic.
Exercise classes offered throughout the week are designed for the 55-plus population no matter the fitness level. From Tai Chi to Essentrics Stretch and Tone, there’s something for everyone.
Games and Such
For those who like to have fun with a little bit of a competitive nature, the Senior Center offers a variety of games throughout the week. Join others for a rousing game of bridge, canasta, and other card games. On the 2nd and 4th Monday, you can win cash prizes playing BINGO.
Travel, Tours, and More
For those who love to explore, check out the monthly trips to local museums, restaurants, shopping, and many other adventures across the DFW area.
You’ll also find a weekly luncheon as well as various educational programs offered throughout the year. Whether you’re interested in music, dancing, or just learning new things, there’s bound to be something to pique your interest.
