About The Event

THE 11th ANNUAL HOT HATCH CHILI RUN, WALK & ROLL IS HERE!

SOUTHLAKE, TX – August 24, 2019 – Neuro Assistance Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting spinal cord injured and disabled individuals in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston & Lubbock, has announced the 11th annual Hot Hatch Chili Run, Walk & Roll will take place at the Central Market in Southlake, Texas.

The Neuro Assistance Foundation raises money for people in the community living with spinal cord injuries and disabilities achieve self-sufficiency and mobility through assistive vehicles, equipment, technology and home modifications. You can learn more about their mission by visiting their website: . Neuro Assistance Foundation - Home

Cindi Cooperman, co-founder, and President was inspired when she learned the spinal cord injured community was living without basic equipment, making the simplest aspects of daily life significantly more complicated.

“I am inspired every day by the people we help and I consider it an honor to provide support to those living with paralysis,” Cooperman said.

Participants can register for the 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K events online at Hot Hatch Chile Run, Walk, and Roll 10K & 5K, 1M Fun Run. As always, there is a free hand cycle event for our differently-abled athletes. Participants in wheelchairs are also free in any event.

The registration fee for the Adult 5K is $35 until August 17th and includes a full hot breakfast at Central Market, a dry-fit t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Guests may purchase the breakfast for just $6.

Last year there were about 500 participants and at least as many spectators at the Hot Hatch Chili Run, Walk & Roll. Cooperman said the proceeds from the event will be dedicated to paralyzed adults and children in the community by purchasing items such as ramps, wheelchairs, and vehicle modifications.

“This fundraiser not only provides funding for our programs, it also shows all participants that the human will is unbreakable,” Cooperman said. “I hope someday there will be a cure for spinal cord injuries, but until then, NAF will continue to help those affected to improve their quality of life.”
